About the famous COCOTAL GOLF COURSE
The six-time Spanish champion José “Pepe” Gancedo designed memorable routings for COCOTAL GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB's three nine-hole courses — Hibiscus, Bougainvillea, and Benjamina. He maximized the use of the natural terrain of an old coconut plantation to design and build a superb golf course that includes serene lakes and swaying palm trees, in addition to Mother Nature's constant tropical winds.
Gancedo’s trademark features at COCOTAL include strategically placed trees, bunkers, mounds, and gently curving terrain with wide fairways. Four sets of tees on the Hibiscus and Bougainvillea nines (three tees on Benjamina) provide low-handicap golfers with a challenging layout, while beginners and intermediate players can enjoy the player-friendly course.
